Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) Evaluation

Illinois has been awarded a PREP grant, through the Affordable Care Act of 2010 (healthcare reform), to reduce teenage pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS, among youth by providing complete, medically accurate, age appropriate, evidence-based sexual health education and lessons on at least three adulthood preparation subjects (i.e., adolescent development, healthy relationships, healthy life skills, parent-child communication, education and career success, financial literacy). CPRD serves as the evaluation contractor to assist the federal government, Illinois Department of Human Services, and local service providers learn more about program design, implementation, and outcomes.
