CPRD has been contracted by Mental Health America of Illinois to conduct an evaluation of suicide prevention strategies in targeted Illinois communities. Mental Health America of Illinois and the Illinois Department of Public Health have funded up to 12 communities to develop local strategic plans and implement appropriate evidence-based strategies. The evaluation employs a mixed model approach using quantitative and qualitative methods on the development of community-based organizations, partnerships, and coalitions, as well as the programs, policies, and practices that will be implemented. Surveys, interviews, and archival document reviews will be used.
