As part of our other services, we provide technical assistance, professional development, and training. For the past decade, we've been traveling around the state and nationwide to provide assistance and education for state, federal, and foundation programs and initiatives.
Annually we conduct a series of trainings around the state of Illinois to help local prevention service providers select appropriate strategies and programs that will help reduce substance abuse by adolescents in their communities. CPRD developed tools and online instructional aids to help build local capacity to evaluate and choose the research-based programs and strategies that "fit well" while maximizing impact.
